Biliary Atresia Screening Supplies
Infant stool colour cards
The infant stool colour cards (ISCCs) are ordered directly from our distributor, VWR. Click here for instructions on ordering ISCCs.
Education materials
NSO is happy to provide replacement education scripts, Poop Happens posters (French or English), and ISCC holders to hospitals and midwifery practices.
If you need a replacement item issued, please let us know at NSOBA@cheo.on.ca and we will mail it to you.
Biliary atresia screening launch kits
Do you care for newborns in your practice or organization? If so, we can provide you with a free supply of ISCCs to support biliary atresia (BA) screening.
To get started, email us at NSOBA@cheo.on.ca and request your BA Launch Kit. The kit includes everything you need to begin using ISCCs in your practice.
If a parent has lost their ISCC, you can easily provide them with a replacement from your supply.
If an infant under 4 months presents with pale stool, please direct the family to call us at 1-833-766-7245 (1-800-POOP-CHK). Our team will assist them and, if necessary, refer the infant to a pediatric GI specialist for further evaluation.
Early detection saves lives. Join us in supporting timely diagnosis of BA.
