The NSO Symposium
The 2017 NSO Symposium will be held on Monday, May 8 and Tuesday, May 9 in Ottawa at the Lord Elgin Hotel.
The first morning of the meeting will focus on potential new screening targets and treatments. That afternoon, there will be a research and public policy round table held concurrently with closed meetings of the Ontario newborn screening network. Universal screening for congenital CMV will be the focus of the second morning. The symposium will adjourn mid-morning on May 9th, and the remainder of the day will be dedicated to closed meetings of Ontario's newborn screening network. Please view the preliminary program below.
Registration for the symposium is now closed. There may be limited space available so if you have not yet registered and are interested in attending, please contact Vicky Chaumont at firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no cost to register for the NSO Symposium this year. Due to the shorter timeframe, we will not be requesting abstracts for posters or presentations for this year’s agenda nor will we be applying for continuing education credits. These opportunities will return next year.
A limited number of rooms have been secured at the Lord Elgin Hotel for a rate of $249/night. To make a reservation, please contact the hotel by phone at 1-800-267-4298 or 613-235-3333 or by e-mail at email@example.com and reference “CHEO - Newborn Screening Ontario AGM” when making your reservation.
