We’re excited to welcome health care professionals, researchers, and laboratory experts to this year’s Newborn Screening Ontario (NSO) Symposium.
Abstracts
NSO invites you to share your knowledge and expertise at the upcoming NSO Symposium. We are now accepting abstracts for in-person poster presentations. A limited number of abstracts will be selected for oral presentation at the symposium. All submissions will undergo review, and authors will be notified of acceptance by May 15, 2026.
This year’s theme, 20 years of Newborn Screening: Past, Present, Future, highlights two decades of progress in newborn screening and looks ahead to the innovations that will shape the next 20 years. We encourage submissions that examine:
- Advances and innovations in newborn screening
- Creative solutions and future directions
- Lessons learned from the past and opportunities on the horizon
Posters may focus on a single topic area and should clearly define the issue, context, and relevance to newborn screening.
We welcome submissions from healthcare professionals, researchers, laboratory staff, and others involved in newborn screening and related fields.
Submission requirements:
- Please ensure all fields in the abstract form are complete. Revisions cannot be made after submission.
- Word limit: 300 words
- Required details: Presenter’s name, affiliation, and contact information
- When submitting we will ask you if you are interested in podium presentation and/or if you are interested in a one-slide/one-minute presentation at the meeting

- Posters will be presented in person during the symposium.
